Happy New year, Ladies and Gentleman, Brothers and Sisters. Today is the first day of the year 2075 according to the Vedic Calendar. Heartily welcome to the first day of Chaitra Navaratri at Babaji’s home, Herakhan Vishwa Mahadham. Shri Babaji’s Ghana since 1972, Man Singh will now guide us into the first havan of the 9day yagna dedicated to the radiant Divine Mother Durga. And to the Lord of Herakhan, Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba. The various divine aspects will be invoked through the recitations of Sanskrit mantra’s and versus by Shri Mayapatti and Shri Vinodh Acharya.
Some of us are happy to be back here while others in happy anticipation of this most sacred daily ritual at Navaratri. Here the offerings and firewood are transformed in blessings that vibrate far and wide. It can also transform what we carry in our heart and mind if we are open to change. Whether you sit there in the front or stand in the back is not really important. It is important where your focus is. Change is the law of the universe and everything inside is subjected to it. Babaji called this beautiful place the center of the Universe and particularly in these blessed days the most beneficial for changing our lower nature to a higher nature. In a full cup, there is no space to add anything so try to be open and empty to receive some of the abundant Divine energy here. Just by following the daily program stipulated by Babaji, being here can be a life changing experience. You can have a wonderful time in this gorgeous place taking sun in the riverbed and enjoying with other wonderful people in the various teashops, but the real value is inside that you can find only quietly sitting within our own being. Whatever it may look like in your own mind, know that you have been guided here by the Divine. You can enhance and deepen your experience by doing spiritual practice, seva and practicing awareness. Wishing you all a Divine experience. Bhole Baba ki Jai, Durga Maya ki Jai !
Welcome, Brothers and Sisters, to the second day of Navaratri at the cave side of Herakhan Vishwa Mahadham. Soon, Shri Lakhsmi Aluwhalia will start the second Havan of the 9 day yagna dedicated to the source of all, The Divine Mother Durga and to the Lord who guided us here, Shri Shri 1008 Haidhakan whale Baba. Shri Mayapatti and Shri Vinodh Acharya are reciting the Sanskrit mantra’s and sloka’s.
While we have gathered again on His sacred spot for a Divine experience, it may be good to consider that we are not really human beings having a Divine experience. We are here to remember that we are Divine beings experiencing being a human. This puts a whole new perspective on the challenges we are each facing individually in our lives anywhere in the world. Babaji was often relating to us in this way and also saying it in words to us. Our life is the greatest gift and should be lived and executed with great care. We are here to do our karma’s and ultimately return to our Divine essence. The great scriptures teach us this and give guidance how to be with the challenges life presents us with. Shri Mayapatti Acharya shares beautiful stories with deep knowledge from the Shrimad Devi Bhagwat about this from 16.30 to 18.00 in the kirtanhall. Being aware that the one who is facing the challenges is but a small part of our divine being may give some relieve of the pressure facing live’s critical moments. The truth of our life is simple but veiled by a thick curtain of illusions. Let us pray that this sacred fire in front of us may burn some of these illusions and lead us to more awareness of our divine essence. Jai Maha Maya ki Jai ! Bhole Baba ki Jai !
Namaskaram, Brothers and Sisters, we have arrived on the third day of Navaratri. In a few minutes, Shri Kharku Anand will initiate the third havan of the 9 day yagna dedicated to the fabulous Divine Mother Durga and to the Guru of guru’s, Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba. Shri Mayapatti and Shri Vinodh Acharya will be invoking the Divine in manifold by reciting the Sanskrit mantra’s and sloka’s.
We celebrate Babaji as the Guru of guru’s and the Lord of the Universe. Being a devotee of Babaji does not make one a better person than anybody. Shaving your head, wearing a certain dress or doing a spiritual practice is also not making us better then anybody else. Devotion and practice can do many great things for us but in becoming a better person, we will need to meet the demons inside that are part of our lower nature. We will need to recognize how we are actually nurturing these negative forces inside of us. This may explain why we can still suddenly explode in anger, become envious, have a need to be proud or have a greedy nature. Only by really seeing it, recognizing this within ourselves, we take a first step in rising up from our lower nature and becoming a human being. Certainly, the force of the Divine Mother will be of an enormous support but our karma’s will not just magically disappear by being a devotee or doing some practice. We will need to do our part, show our will to really be a better human being by divine design. Making a better world starts at home with ourselves. The Divine Light emanating from this holy fire may show us the way. Durga Maya ki Jai ! Bhole Baba ki Jai !
Welcome to day 4, Sisters and Brothers, of Chaitra Navaratri. Shortly, our Chairman Shri Alok Banerjee will commence the 4th havan of the 9 day yagna dedicated to our magnificent Divine Mother Durga and to our Light in the dark, Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba. Shri Mayapatti and Shri Vinodh Acharya will be reciting the Sanskrit Mantra’s and sloka’s.
Are we all comfortably seated on our preferred spot? Perhaps close to the coconuts or this angle here is always a bit more spacious. Which way the smoke will be blown is perhaps the question as these purifying fumes can be quite a challenge during this sacred ritual. Metaphorically speaking, we all have smoke in our eyes. Shri Mayapatti Acharya will one of these afternoons in the temple tell you the story of Dumralochan. This is a very strong and cunning demon we all are struggling with in our lives. His name means smoke in eyes. And his qualities are to distort our view and deny the reality right in front of our eyes. Without us being aware dumralochan twists our thinking to have attitudes, manipulate our decisions and take action that are not at all beneficial for our life or those around us. All this happens while we have the illusion we are doing everything correct. We can see what a devastating effect this demonic power has on the world stage. Most probably, we can see this evil force operating also in people around us when we see them taking counter productive measures in their lives. It is however really difficult to recognize how this malignant influence is clouding our own personal vision creating thoughts and take positions that do not bring peace, happiness or progress in our lives. May the Light of the Divine Mother bless us with clarity. We will need to fight this inner battle however also ourselves and use awareness and sincerity as our weapons and we will be victorious by Her Divine grace. This sacred smoke here is more evident and prickly to our eyes but not harmful, actually beneficial for you and the surroundings. Jai Maha Maya ki Jai !
Bhole Baba ki Jai !
Grace descending brother and sisters as we are now on the 5th day celebrating the Divine at Navaratri. Praise for the presence of our chairman Shri Alok Banerjee who will be operating the sacred spoon for the 5th havan of the 9 day yagna dedicated to the illustrious Divine Mother Durga and the benevolent Shri Shri 1008 Herakhan whale Baba. Shri Mayapatti and Shri Vinodh Acharya are calling the Divine in our midst with Sanskrit mantra’s and versus.
Now we can easily feel the strong positive energy coming from all the rituals and your personal practice. It may be good to be aware, brothers and sisters, that a part of those good feelings you may sense are coming from not doing. While we are focused on the Divine by singing, japa and various practices, we are much less focused on the usual noise in our head. Generally, minds want more of the past or are resentful and angry about it and also plot, plan or fear into a future. Our minds travel from one desire to another all day long. Mind judges and label others and situations continuously with repetitive thoughts. All this does not create any happiness or peace but rather the opposite. Our minds are structured to compulsively act in this way and it takes a strong concentration and practice to free ourselves of this ego reinforcing habits of the mind. By the grace of the Divine Mother and Babaji’s presence, this comes so easily here on this auspicious moment at this sacred place. This is extremely rare to find in our degrading world, brothers and sisters. Make full use now of this divine gift that has come to you, for it may help you after, when times will be more challenging in your life. Introduce the Divine in your life by not doing the usual and feel that Babaji is always with you. Bhole Baba ki Jai! Durga Maya ki Jai !
Nestled in between the holy mount Kailash and the sacred river Gautam Ganga, we find ourselves again gathered around the sacred fireplace on the 6th day of Navaratri.
Shri Alok Banerjee will now lead us in the 6th havan of the 9 day yagna dedicated to the splendorous Divine Mother Durga and to our light in the dark, Shri Shri 1008 Herakhan wale Baba. The Sanskrit Mantra’s and versus will be recited by Shri Mayapatti and Shri Vinodh Acharya.
A warm welcome in particular to all the new comers to Babaji’s Divine gathering here. It is a dazzling Divine circus to walk into. I hope those who have been coming here since years have been accommodating, kind enough and helpful to settle into this joyride of heart, mind and spirit we experience here. This process never really stops also for those coming here since 40 years. So if we older devotees forget to be open and share information, please do feel free to remind us, make contact and ask.
This holy man in the picture who walked amongst us here for 14 years is only a small part of Babaji. Babaji is not really a person. He is also here now in this very moment in a spirit body. This Divine being also lives in your heart, whether you are aware of it or not, in the most subtle form. He or She if you prefer is like the brightness in light, the prana in the air or the sweetness in milk. You are now here because He wants you to be here, to experience this divine miracle unfolding here. You are as much part of this divine play as anybody here. Please forgive us if we forget this ourselves sometimes, and do remind us but do feel very welcome here at Babaji’s home, Herakhan Vishwa Mahadham. Bhole Baba ki Jai , Durga Maya ki Jai !
Be happy, brothers and sisters, for we have arrived on Saptami, the 7th day of Chaitra Navaratri. Soon our chairman of the Haidakhandi Samaj, Shri Alok Banerjee will guide us into the 7th havan of the 9day yagna dedicated to our gracious Divine Mother Durga and to the Lord guiding us across the ocean of misery, Shri Shri 1008 Herakhan whale Baba. Shri Mayapatti and Shri Vinodh Acharya are calling on the various Divine aspects with Sanskrit recitations of Mantra’s and sloka’s to collect the offerings.
What a grace, what a joy to be present here at this Divine celebration. Gratitude is arising naturally when we realize all the grace we are receiving each one of us here. It is good practice, brothers and sisters, to count your blessings, to be aware how futile life is without divine presence. Consciously practicing gratitude is creating a profound inner happiness and keeps us aware and humble in front of the great divine miracle unfolding in our lives. Comparing what others have more or do different creates resentment and unhappiness. To apply these very simple formula’s is creating happiness in our life. Babaji ordered us to be happy so we better make gratitude our daily practice and count our blessings on a regular bases. It is not always easy in the midst of storms blowing in our lives and that happens to everybody in their own way. We are blessed to have so many wonderful images of the Divine manifestation of Babaji that leads to His Divine presence in our very own heart. Let us rejoice, brothers and sisters, for being here now, aware and grateful for the Divine presence in our life. This sacred fire is one of today’s great gifts to us. Bhole Baba ki Jai, Durga Maya ki Jai !
Welcome to Astami Sisters and Brothers, the 8th day of Chaitra Navaratri at Herakhan Vishwa Mahadham. The leader of Babaji’s organization Shri Alok Banerjee is about to start the 8th havan of the 9day yagna dedicated to the omnipotent Divine Mother Durga and to the Sathguru Shri Shri 1008 Herakhan whale Baba. Shri Mayapatti and Shri Vinodh Acharya are invoking the many aspects of the Divine to collect the offerings. Astami is considered by some as the most powerful day of Navaratri. We can certainly feel how the Divine energetic presence has intensified here in these days. Shri Mayapatti has been telling us how the Divine Mother in various forms has been slaying many demonic forces. Today is the day that Maha Gauri concurs ego that is considered the last and biggest force to overcome on our path of self realization. It seems evident concurring ego is an individual process in each of us, brothers and sisters, and more a lifelong process than something we can accomplish here today. It is a great day to be aware of the progress we humans make in our evolution of connecting to our true Divine nature. Asking and even demanding to sit and offer on this day which many people like to do seems contradictory in the process of concurring ego. Praise to those who have curbed this oxymoron and freed themselves of this idea. One can’t be too happy with that either as that is stepping in the next trap of ego. Our life is full of such contradictions, who we think we are, how we behave and who we truly are. The Divine Light present here can make us aware and aid us in waking up out of the dream state we generally pass our life in. But alas most of us are to busy wanting what we want and do not see Babaji’s outstretched hand with His Divine gifts. Baba manasa phale tumare, Baba fulfills all wishes, so one day we will all get there. Today anyway, brothers and sisters, we celebrate Maha Gauri, the victorious one over ego. Maha Gauri ki Jai, Durga Maya ki Jai, Bhole Baba ki Jai !
Congratulations, Brothers and Sisters, for being here at Naumi, the 9th day and last day of Chaitra Navaratri 2075. Today, you are completing the penance you have offered to the Divine Mother in these days. The chairman of our Haidakhandi Samaj, Shri Alok Banerjee will conduct the 9th Havan and poornahooti to complete the 9day yagna dedicated to the omnipresent Divine Mother Durga and to our beloved Babaji, Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba. Shri Mayapatti and Shri Vinodh Acharya are reciting the Sanskrit mantra’s and sloka’s to invoke the Divine for this last havan.
Our Babaji is worldwide famous for kriya yoga; in the West, they say rebirthing is inspired by Him. We heard Him here speak about Japa yoga but most of all, brothers and sisters, Babaji gave Karma Yoga teachings. These teachings are not so fancy compared to bhajans, fire ceremonies, puja or any of the previously mentioned practices and therefor also a lot less popular. We come here to Babaji’s place to drink His nectar and we can all sense now what a great blessing that is. If we like to keep this sacred ashram alive and in order we will need to step up His teaching in the practice of Karmayoga. It is the same for other ashrams in India and around the world and also for the various Samaj’s and organizations made in His name. Complaining and doing nothing is easy, cheap and has only a negative effect. Take this as an invitation to see what you can do to improve all what has been created in His name so people in the future also can come and drink His nectar in such gorgeous places. Let us practice to be soldiers of Love in His army of Light with His Karmayoga teachings. You, brothers and sisters, are all part of His divine play that is far beyond logical understanding. Invite the Lord more into your life by repeating His name, singing the aarti, do His Karmayoga and He will become more and more part of you. For this time, all is said and much is left to do, but that is up to you. Phuro, be inspired by the Divine vibrations of these days. Those who are staying, thank you very much for helping with your karmayoga to make such big gatherings possible, May He always bless you! To those leaving, thank you for coming, travel safely and abide in peace. Until we meet again at Shri Babaji’s holy feet.
Bhole Baba ki Jai, Durga Maya ki Jai !
Dashmi, the 10th day.
Welcome to Dashmi, Brothers and Sisters, the 10th day of Navaratri which is somehow always celebrated separately. In the past days, we could hear Shri Mayapatti Acharya tell mythical stories of Goddesses concurring demons in fierce battles. At times, it was explained that demons represent out the forces of our lower nature that are purified and concurred by various Divine forces. This process takes place in our energetic body throughout our chakra’s. Today represents the opening of our Sahasrara, the crown chakra and opens the way to Divine harmony. This is not really a process we can manage in 10 days unfortunately. Keeping this process continuously in mind and practicing the various yoga’s recommended by Babaji will change our whole focus we have on our daily life. Whereever we are, whatever we may do. Being His devotee, we cannot just cry out when life is representing it’s hardships which are an inevitable aspect of our life. By our practice and focus on Babaji, we can build Him inside of us and it will be easier to loose what needs to be lost and gain more of Him in the process. Nurture that Divine spark, brothers and sisters, that we are experiencing so strongly here at Herakhan Vishwa Mahadham in these days and celebrate your life, now you have reached at His holy feet. To commemorate this day of spiritual blossoming, our Chairman Shri Alok Banerjee will guide us into a sacred havan ceremony dedicated to the ever victorious Durga Devi and to our Sathguru Babaji, Shri Shri 1008 Herakhan wale Baba. Shri Mayapatti and Shri Vinodh Acharya are invoking the Divine with the Sanskrit recitals of Havan Mantra’s and sloka’s to entice the Divine to collect our offerings. May you be victorious in your sadhana.
Durga Maya ki Jai, Bhole Baba ki Jai !
