Speeches at the havan during Ashwin Navaratri 2019 at Anandpuri Ashram
Bhole Baba ki Jai !
Welcome ladies & gentleman, brothers and sisters to Anandpuri Ashram to celebrate the Ashwin Navaratri of the year 2076 according to the Samvat, the Vedic calendar. We have assembled around the sacred fireplace for one of the daily highlights during these auspicious days, the 9day Yagna. Soon the Chairman of the Haidakhandi Samaj, Shri Alok Banerjee will guide us into the first havan of the 9day yagna dedicated to the source of all forms, the illustrious Divine Mother Durga and our light in the darkness Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba. Shri Mayapatti Acharya & Shri Vinodh Acharya will be reciting the Sanskrit Mantras and sloka’s to call on the various forms of the Divine to collect our offerings.
Congratulations for having overcome all rational reasons spending days in physical discomfort doing irrational things. Something in you is called, is hungry for something else then what life is offering usually. You have spent time, money and made effort to be here but the real price for what you have come to find will dawn on you in time. The Divine wants all of you. From the scriptures we can learn that the Me we perceive ourselves to be is illusionary and the main obstacle in in discovering your true Divine nature. Navaratri is a beautiful practice that Babaji is offering us to have a good understanding of this process. The Divine Mothers energy is here fully in your support, Babaji will give you insights in your own heart and there are many tools available here for a successful process. But your effort and concentration is really required to achieve real progress on your spiritual path. It is easy to be distracted when your heart opens up and spend time having fun with all the other wonderful open hearts here. To follow the full program that Babaji has made for us like being present at aarti’s, fire ceremonies, Karmayoga duties etc are defining the outcome of your experience here. There are other practices to enhance and deepen your experience of the Divine, inform yourselves, be hungry for harmonizing with the Divine is the highest purpose of human life. You are now in the home of the Guru of Guru’s, Babaji, now do your part and focus yourself.

Merging with the Divine energy at Anandpuri Ashram having reached the second day of Ashwin Navaratri. Shortly our senior Samaj brother, Shri Lakshmi Aluwhalia will lead us into the 2nd havan of the 9day yagna offered in the name of the all nurturing Divine Mother Durga and to our beloved teacher, Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba. Shri Mayapatti Acharya and Shri Vinodh Acharya are reciting the Sanskrit havan mantras and sloka’s. Shri Mayapatti Acharya tell us beautiful stories in the temple from 4.30 to 6.00 of Gods and demons, of heaven and hell. Our life is just like that, changing continuously between pleasant and unpleasant, between good and bad. Life is full of all sorts of experiences generally orchestrated by our karma’s that we have come to resolve this lifetime. The boundaries of good and bad depends on our own perception. Our emotional reaction is amplifying and distorting our experience enormously. We are very blessed brothers and sisters that we have Shri Babaji as our guide and teacher for He will mirror in our life’s circumstances where and how to progress on our spiritual path. That may now always be easy when the heat is on. We are not modifying our behavior easily and generally are unable to make profound changes from knowledge we read in a book or hear at a speech at the havankund. It is always possible however to turn a negative into a positive but it takes the Divine to inspire that change. Take guidance from the Divine rather then from your emotions. Babaji is the Divine and has you here now. Let nothing, not a person or a ritual come in between Him and you. Speak to Him about your pleasures and your pain. Because of the mental noise in our head it is not so easy to hear Him speaking to us and your faith that you are His devotee and that He will take care of you is required. Have faith, all depends on faith. There is no better place and time to discover the truth of this in your own heart then here and now.

Blessings upon you brothers and sisters here on the 3rd day of Navaratri. Shri Raghuvir Charan Chaudary will start the 3rd havan of the 9day yagna dedicated to the Divine Mother Durga and to the Lord of Yogi’s, Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba. Shri Mayapatti Acharya and Shri Vinodh Acharya will be reciting the Sanskrit Havan mantras and sloka’s.
In the name of the Divine I am thanking you that you have taken time out to connect and concentrate with that Divine presence residing in your own heart. Time is the most precious thing we have brothers and sisters and we realize this only when we are getting on in age. Time is so important that it is a Divinity in the Vedic philosophy named Maha Kal, the Lord of time. Everything including our lifetime has a limited timespan. Everything will pass and even the sun….even our Samaj will die one day, all in it’s own cycle. Only the Divine in which everything rises and falls, is the immoveable constant. Shri Muniraj Maharaj abided his time really well as we can see around us in this beautiful ashram made in his devotion for Babaji. He served Babaji like no other and guided many new people to His lotus feet. With age progressing we can see our life passing away like water under the bridge and it may be wise to dedicate our allotted time here well. Are we dedicating enough attention to the Divine, are we in service to humanity? Only you can be the proper judge of that but do remember that time waits for no one and procrastination is not a friend of you. Also here now with limited precious time in these wonderful days make sure you spend it to the best of your abilities so it may serve you as an inspiration for the rest of your life where ever you may be.

Gathered again around the sacred fireplace brothers and sisters on the 4th day of Ashwin Navaratri. Soon the Samaj vice Chairman Shri Uday Chatterjee will conduct the 4th havan of the 9day yagna dedicated to the all inclusive Divine Mother Durga and to the gracious Lord Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba. Shri Mayapatti and Shri Vinodh Acharya will be reciting the Sanskrit mantras and sloka’s addressing the various Divine aspects.
Ladies and Gentleman, us and them, You and me, Vegetarians and non vegetarians, Brahmins and others, with our mind we have invented so many separations and concepts that divide us and even a lot more justifications and reasons for having done so. Having reached the 4th day, by Divine grace, many hearts are opening now. These divisions we have build in our mind and around us seem much less pronounced then just a few days ago. General judgment on ourselves, on others and situations we encounter is so different the more the heart opens and we can experience a great relieve in our mind and body. Opening our heart is not so easy to do and if it was not for Divine grace perhaps not possible. With an abundance of Divine grace from the Divine Mother and Babaji here it happens almost by itself. That little we need to do is to concentrate our mind and direct our thoughts, follow the program here, calling on the Divine by repeating your mantras. You have found gold here brothers and sisters, you just need to recognize it and pick it up and enjoy Divine grace.
Bhole Baba ki Jai ! Durga Maya ki Jai !

We have reached midway brothers and sisters, with the 5th day of the Ashwin Navaratri Celebrations. Now Shri Dr Arvind Lal, vice chairman of the Haidakhandi Samaj will commence the 5th havan of the 9day yagna dedicated to the compassionate Divine Mother Durga and to our unconditional loving Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba. Shri Mayapatti and Shri Vinodh Acharya will be calling the Divine with their Sanskrit recitals of the Havan Mantras and sloka’s. Compassion is certainly one of the most gracious Divine aspects. In our ignorance we continuously commit sin to the Divine nature, permeating our whole creation. Trapped in a limited personality, bound by me and mine, life is suffering and we tend to push, pull and force our way through committing sin towards the Divine, our surroundings and mostly to ourselves. By practicing awareness we can see how the Divine is constantly showering us with compassion and unconditional love. Our very essence is Divine, beyond the prison of me and mine. Making compassion our personal daily practice is opening up towards that Divine compassionate essence within us. Perhaps it is not easy as we are oblivious about our karma’s and unconscious mental conditioning that makes us have wrong thoughts and vulnerable to commit sinful actions. Even more so with others around us we are unaware of the burdens they carry consciously or unconsciously in their live. So embrace the Divine dear ones by practicing compassion towards yourself and others to be part of bringing Divine presence on earth, so very needed in these dark days covering earth. Be a soldier in Babaji’s army of Love & Light.
Bhole Baba ki Jai ! Durga Maya ki Jai !
Bhole Baba ki jai ! Welcome to the brothers and sisters who have arrived now on the 6th day of Ashwin Navaratri. The Honorary brigadier Dr Arvind Lal PadmaShri, vice chairman of the Haidakhandi Samaj will now lead us into the 6th havan of the 9day yagna to celebrate the infinite glory of the victorious Divine Mother Durga and to the embodiment of Divine Harmony, Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba. Shri Mayapatti Acharya and Shri Vinodh Acharya will be reciting the Sanskrit mantras and sloka’s. Durga Ma is the name of the all encompassing Divine Mother Durga, the source of all. She divides Herself in 3 main aspects being, Kali, Lakshmi, Saraswati and further crystalizes in countless forms, names and aspects of the source of all. Of great importance for all humanity is Bhoomi Devi, Mother Earth, our gorgeous planet with infinite amazing life forms. In our ignorance we human beings have in the last 150 years doing our best to destroy this and countless life forms have already disappeared. We have deeply polluted the air, land and waters and in our greed we extract, burn and pillage whatever we can use. We here all have a strong pull towards the Divine and see our planet as Mother earth but we are non the less participating in that sin towards Bhoomi Devi. Those in the world purely driven by self serving greed, drenched in ignorance have no chance of understanding the fine balance upholding the nature, the harmony of Mother Earth. Even for us who are perhaps more aware will not be able to stop flying in planes, drive cars, avoid using plastic and other daily habits we have that actually harm Mother Earth, the creation that we are part of…..be it a small part. A turbo charge on our spiritual activities is awareness brothers and sisters. To really experience the aarti, Japa, Saptasati reading or Havan etc. we need to focus for these beautiful practices to have real benefit. This focus, awareness should be practiced in all our activities and thoughts throughout the day. Puja to Bhoomi Devi in a practical way is closing a useless running tap, switching of not needed lights and other appliances as well as limiting the use of plastics and other resources we have at our finger tips. We are using all this like if there is no tomorrow but it is not ours, we are borrowing all this from our future generations. The profoundly disturbed weather patterns around the world are showing that Bhoomi Devi has had enough of our use and abuse. Please do receive this as an invitation to be mindful about your personal participation for a cleaner world. We are about to create some smoke here now but as strange as it may seem that the ingredients accompanied with Sanskrit mantras are purifying the environment on a deep level even if it may sting and prickle a bit the eyes or throat. Puja to the Divine dear ones, may it reflect in all our actions. Bhole Baba ki Jai !
Bhoomi Devi ki Jai ! Durga Maya ki Jai!

Glory to the Divine as we are assembled again around the sacred fireplace now on Saptami, the 7th day of Navaratri. Shortly the Honorary Brigadier Dr Arvind Lal PadmaShri Vice Chairman of the Haidakhandi Samaj and corporate yogi will initiate the 7th havan of the 9day Yagna dedicated to the magnificent Divine Mother Durga and to the Lord that has guided you here, Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba. The knowledgeable Shri Mayapatti Acharya and Shri Vinodh Acharya are invoking the Divine with Sanskrit mantras and sloka’s recitations.
Now we are united here in Divine vibrations it is also good to be aware of the suffering humanity, the world is going through. This stretch of Kali Yuga seems to be ever more intense and adharma is rampant. It may feel very nice to imagine doing things from your heart and see all sorts of images of light in your meditation but this is not real progress on your spiritual path nor does it do anything for humanity at large. Being a devotee of Babaji it is also our task to stand up for truth, take position against hatred & injustice and protect the weaker ones in our societies. It does not matter from which country you are, what cast, creed, skin color or political choice you have but we do need to stand uphold Dharma, the eternal law for humanity and to protect it, actually from our own lower tendencies. Living Babaji’s teachings is a profound way of aiding humanity and bringing Divine presence on earth. Inside of us we fight our lower tendencies, focus and celebrate the Divine. Outwardly we selflessly combat hatred and injustice and do our best support Babaji’s work in upholding dharma in the world, putting Truth, Simplicity and Love actively in practice.

Today it is Astami Brothers and Sisters, the 8th day of Navaratri at Anandpuri Ashram. Stepping in for our ailing chairman, the honorary Brigadier Dr Arvind Lal PadmaShri, vice chairman and chairman elect of the Haidakhandi Samaj and corporate yogi of the Haidakhandi Akara will now preside over the 8th Havan of the 9day yagna dedicated to the jubelously celebrated omnipotent Divine Mother Durga and to the Sathguru sailing us across the ocean of misery, Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba. In fast flowing rhythm Shri Mayapatti Acharya and Shri Vinodh Acharya are going to recite the Sanskrit havan mantras and sloka’s to entice the various Divine forces to collect our offerings. The all powerful Divine Mother Durga in which all divinities, all existing forms and concepts have their place. With our limited mental capacity such enormity is hard to grasp. What would the Divine be if there were no devotees in the world, no celebrations, no praises, no prayers or even remembering the Divine force permeating everything in and beyond our world. The forefathers of humanity, the Rishis, have created the most beautiful concepts of our creation with the Veda’s and other sacred scriptures. The have give names and forms to all these Divine forces governing our universe and other dimensions. Within all this a whole labyrinth of do’s and don’ts is set up for humanity to grow and evolve. Even though all knowledge is readily available and accessible for all, we humans are very slowly growing out of our animalistic consciousness. It seems we have created a sophisticated world with digital marvel and space travel etc. but the challenges we humans face we have been facing for 1000’s of years. We generally still feed on each other, are unable to look much inside of ourselves to discover who we really are and cannot grasp a bigger picture that would benefit all of humanity. These Navaratries we celebrate here are stipulated by Babaji contain a brilliant roadmap with fine instruments to understand who we really are, what are the road blocks and how to proceed on our spiritual path leading us home to our own Divine essence. But we humans have a sort of free will and it seems can also just be happy with throwing rice in a fire and smear yellow and red paste on silver chapels and other objects here pushing each other out of the way. Without the right intend and recognizing the Divine in these actions adding consciousness it becomes completely senseless. The recognizing the Divine needs to take place within ourselves and within each other. We are so extremely lucky to be called by Babaji and that somehow this indescribable beautiful teacher has taken an interest in us, a bunch of confused souls. What have we done to merit such enormous grace and what are we doing to honor His attention for us. It is high time that we make maximum effort to evolve as a species. We need to work much harder to overcome our anger, greed, jealousy, pride, hatred arrogance and other sicknesses that we individually are suffering from. We need to actively practice humility, compassion, generosity, kindness, love etc with our fellow human beings if we do not want to continue to run the same endless cycles of suffering and confusion till the end of time. Being selfish and arrogant is not recognizing the Divine and holds no progress for nobody. So the Divine is in need of us, in need of us to be recognized so humanity can evolve and we can grow into a harmony on earth where the lion and the goat can drink from the same well, a Divine Harmony. With such practice you will get close to Babaji, so much closer then samargree or chandan paste can ever bring you and He will shower us with freedom and a happiness greater then we can even imagine.
Bhole Baba ki Jai ! Shri Sathguru Haidakhan Bihari ki Jai! Durga Maya ki Jai!
Bhole Baba ki Jai !
Congratulations brothers and sisters who are concluding a 9day penance during the Ashwin Navaratri celebrations here at Anandpuri ashram. Having veered back from the abyss after an unpleasant sick leave, the chairman of the Haidakhandi Samaj, Shri Alok Banerjee will now guide us into the 9th havan and poornahooti of the 9day yagna dedicated to the mere glory of the all nurturing omnipresent Divine Mother Durga and to our beloved Babaji who guided us here and opened us up to this Universe of Divine wonder, Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba. Having just concluded the ShriMad Devi Bhagvatam with success, Shri Mayapatti Acharya will now together with Vinodh Acharya recite the Sanskrit mantras and sloka’s to invite the various Divine aspects to collect the offerings and dwell amongst us. Thank you all for making the time and effort to celebrate and honor together the Divine presence in our lives. How palpable it is when we unite in His name, how He showers us with His love that, whatever we may go through in our lives, is distant for a moment. How long and how distant is certainly under the influence of this powerful home of Babaji and the sacredness of these auspicious days. It also depends very much on us brothers and sisters, how much time we dedicate to the Divine in our practice every day and let the Divine presence flow in our actions throughout the day. We can waist time considering if our glass is half full or empty but let us just be happy that we have a glass in life and can use it as a container for Divine nectar. Babaji will surely fill surely fill our glass if we dedicate our practice, actions and thoughts. Our karma’s are ours, merits by our actions and most probably Babaji will not miraculously make that disappear but if our lives are filled with His Divine energy and bliss all that will not so much matter anymore. When we are dipped in Divine bliss because of our practice, seva and concentration on Him, His grace will be upon us everywhere and always. All is said for now dear children of the Divine, only action remains to be taken. Most of you will be leaving this beautiful ashram Anandpuri to go back to your lives. Travel safely and abide in peace, spread this message of Divine Love & Light in the world to alleviate the suffering of those who are unaware of this beautiful essence of life itself. May Babaji bless you all, but in particular those who made so much effort to make it all possible here in a practical sense with the karma yoga and the service to all of us. Blessed are those who take the time to help to put the ashram back to its normal proportions with cleaning and reorganizing everything. Until we meet again at Shri Babaji’s lotus feet.
Bhole Baba ki Jai ! Jai Maha Maya ki Jai ! Durga Maya ki Jai !
Dasheera, the 10th day.
Bhole Baba ki Jai !
Navaratri is over brothers and sisters but the story continues. Today it is dasheera, that means the 10th. All over India big wooden statues are made, carried around towns and will be burned tonight. This is an image of the demon king Ravan who fought a terrible war against Lord Ram and Hanuman so beautifully described in the Ramayana. This delightful ancient epic is the backbone of Hindu culture up to today. What this enchanting story has in common with the sacred book that Shri Mayapatti Acharya has been reading the past 9 days in the temple that this is also stories of war. Stories where righteousness conquers evil in battle. It is actually the same with the Bible and the Koran, a long string of fighting stories. These old scriptures are some of the oldest records of our present societies around the world. Most of these wars were all ignited by anger, jealousy, greed, lust between the powerful people leading at that time. Contemplating on the bigger picture we can conclude that humanity has been at war with itself as long as we know. When we look deeper we can see the strive, the battle is happening within us, between our higher and lower nature. We need to address these problems within ourselves for the sake of world peace as everything in the world is a reflection of consciousness that has not materialized. Things are never what they seem on the surface. In the kingdom of the demon king Ravan the general population was very happy with him, as there were no taxes, free healthcare and education programs and a generally more prosperous situation than in the kingdom of the father of Rama. It is also said that Ravan was a great devotee of Lord Shiva and had begotten many of his extraordinary powers from the Lord Himself. With Divine support Lord Rama won this very fierce battle to protect dharma, for the sake of righteousness he conquered Ravan and freed his beloved wife Sita. How sad this beautiful story ends that after some time Lord Ram expels his beloved Sita because under the population there were many rumors that she may have been very close with Ravan in her captivity. To satisfy the confused minds and peace of the general population he banishes his beloved from his life and kingdom. What is righteousness brothers and sisters, where does it begin and where does it end. It ends only inside of us, when we stop fighting ourselves and others, when we recognize the Divine essence in each other and have compassion for our own and each others confused minds. We serve the Divine by serving each other. Getting closer and surrendering to the Divine, to Babaji we need to let go of our likes and dislikes. The opinions we have in our head prevent us from seeing the Truth, The Truth that simply IS. Then Love will appear by itself, an unconditional love that the Divine has for all of us readily available will permeate from our own heart to our mind. “ O Lord of Herakhan present in our heart, please bless us and live also in our eyes so we see only You everywhere we look. Oh Beloved Babaji please also live in our ears so we hear Your Divine message between the noise and in the silence all the time. Oh dearest Guru Ji teach us proper conduct and make us part of Your Divine plan. May Your name always be praised and remembered. Shri Herakhan Bhagwan Bihari ki Jai !
For now, all the puja’s will be concluded with this havan ceremony were Shri Mayapatti Acharya and Shri Vinodh Acharya reciting the Sanskrit havan mantras and sloka’s.
Shri Alok Banerjee, our Chairman of the Haidakhandi Samaj will now conduct the Dasheera Havan ceremony dedicated to our unconditional loving Guru, Shri Shri 1008 Haidakhan whale Baba and to Lord Ram, the embodiment of Dharma.
Bhole Baba ki Jai ! Shri Ram Chandra ki Jai !
Would like to mention and thank Raidass for serving the sacred spoon in these 10 days. Also many of you present here today who again and again have taken responsibility in making these big gatherings possible in such a sweet way with the spirit of devotion. You are an inspiration for others to follow. May Babaji always keep His eye on you and you remember that He is always with you, even when you do not feel it in moments of turmoil.
Bhole Baba ki Jai ! Sub Bhakton ki Jai !
